In 1958 and 1960, further refinements were made in style and additional options were offered. The changes resulted in production figures in the five digit range as of the early 1960's.
The second Corvette within this fantastic collection is an original two-tone white and blue, removable hardtop, 1961 Convertible. It features a thin vertical and horizontal bar grille and Duck Tail rear end with four cylindrical taillights. These unique features distinguished the 1961 from the earlier models. Other styling changes included an exhaust that exits from underneath the car instead of the bumper ports.
Its standard package includes seat belts, dual exhaust, tachometer, sun visors, electric clock and outside rear view mirror. Located under the hood is a V-8 engine with a Carter type 4 barrel. The power-train option chosen for this car is a 3-speed manual floor shift. The interior is fitted with blue seat covers and original Wonderbar Radio. The 1961 Corvette has whitewall tires, the last year they were available.
