The new Thunderbird cut into the Corvette sales market drastically. Everyone liked the roll up windows, V-8 engine and the sporty, affluent look it conveyed. Ford sold 16,155 units in 1955. Sales had increased to 21,380 by 1957, the year of our car. This sporty white Thunderbird two-seater has had an excellent restoration.
The clean interior is fitted with black and white seat covers and two-tone dashboard. The odometer shows 87,083 original miles. The restyling completed on the '57 included a longer rear section for increased storage, fins on the rear fenders, and an instrument panel from full sized '56 Fords.
